The Senior Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Advisor is a member of the firm’s accounting and advisory team. This role is responsible for managing client engagements, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, and delivering industry-specific financial insights that help our clients improve profitability, manage cash flow, and ensure compliance. This is a hybrid role based in our Camas office, with required travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, and project work.

 Responsibilities 

  • Project manages a portfolio of CAAS clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services
  • Lead onboarding of new clients, including system implementations, process design, and data migration
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and KPI dash boards tailored to client needs
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to help clients improve operations, cash flow, and profitability
  • Identifies client’s needs/opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services
  • Builds and nurtures strong working relationships with client’s management and peer client levels
  • Advises and coaches team members, provides consistent recognition and encouragement to team members and sets an example by demonstrating high energy levels and enthusiasm

Job Qualifications and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years internal accounting experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of people management

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects from start to finish. This includes overseeing the completion of tasks and project components, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and maintaining client satisfaction. The role also involves coaching, advising, and directing team members, supporting both client outcomes and the professional development of the team. This is a hybrid role based in our Camas office, with required travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, and project work.

Responsibilities

  • Project manages one or more client assignments, ensuring success of projects
  • Prepares engagement budgets and establishes work schedules through effective use of project management tools
  • Identifies clients’ needs and opportunities
  • Successfully directs and maintains a motivated empowered team
  • Performs a detailed review of the teams work to ensure quality
  • Mentors Staff Accountants

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • CPA preferred
  • Work experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience working in public accounting

  • Document work in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Evaluate and report on clients’ internal accounting controls
  • Research and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Build strong working relationships with both clients and peers

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
  • CPA license in Washington State preferred (or in progress); Enrolled Agent is a plus
  • Minimum of 1 year in public accounting or tax preparation
